Teaching and Learning Center

As part of Academic Affairs, LIU’s Teaching and Learning Center promotes excellence in teaching throughout the university. This includes face-to-face, online, and blended settings. Our mission is to provide pedagogical support for every situation across campus. The TLC has an instructional design team that provides faculty training on a wide variety of pedagogical issues, curriculum design consultation, and one-on-one support for anyone looking to build or improve outstanding courses. We also collaborate with administrative offices to create an exceptional teaching and learning environment at LIU. Feel free to contact us to see how we might help your department.

Where applicable, we can also support teaching with technology to enhance the classroom experience, as well as support fully online and blended courses.

All of our LIU instructional designers hold advanced degrees and have extensive teaching experience. We have offices at both the Post and Brooklyn campuses, and offer support for other campuses via phone or Adobe Connect. We would love to meet with you!
