Free Income Tax Preparation - VITA

LIU Accounting Society volunteers, trained by the Internal Revenue Service, help residents with incomes of $50,000 or less. Taxpayers should bring valid photo identification and social security cards for themselves and their dependents; records of their income, including W-2s and 1099s; and, if possible, a copy of last year’s tax returns. Federal returns prepared include 1040EZ, 1040A, 1040 (Schedules A & B), 2441 and 8863. State returns prepared are IT 200 and IT 201.

VITA sessions will run on Fridays and Saturdays, Feb. 18 - April 14. The hours on Fridays are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration runs February 18-April 14 (Closed March 16-17). To learn more call 718-780-4062.
