Description

Ann Cleary started her nursing career in Australia. She completed Diplomas in Psychiatric Nursing and General Nursing at Gladesville and Balmain Hospitals respectively, in Sydney, Australia. After working in the United Kingdom and Australia, she came to New York in 1991 and worked for 11 years at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, initially as a staff nurse then nurse clinician while completing a BS. and MS. in Nursing and an Adult Nurse Practitioner degree. After graduating as a Nurse Practitioner she worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Adult Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplantation, the first nurse practitioner in this role. She went on to work as an Adult Medical Oncology Nurse Practitioner at NYU Medical Center while completing a Doctorate in Nursing at the University of Adelaide, Australia. She has taught Care of the Older Adult, Medical and Surgical Nursing, Medication Administration and currently teaches Nursing Foundations and End of Life Nursing Care at the Harriet Rothkopf School of Nursing.
