Courses

A+PC Technician and Network+
This class is designed for students who would like to further their knowledge in computer troubleshooting and for individuals interested in changing professions from a non-computer related field. Students will utilize Microsoft Windows™ for software learning and floor computers for hardware assembly and testing. Students will also learn how to terminate CAT5e cable, connectors and use cable testing equipment.

Benefits: The A+ PC Technician and Network + course prepares students for the CompTIA™ A+ and Network+ Certifications—industry standards for all IT professionals and a minimum requirement for hardware and software related positions.
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of computer software and hardware.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)™ and CompTIA™ Security+
This course is intended for students who have already passed the CompTIA™ A+ and Network+ exams and who are also preparing for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)™ and CompTIA™ Security + exams. Students will learn how to identify lockdown and secure vulnerabilities in a small to medium enterprise branch network with a focus on network installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Benefits: Students are prepared for the CCNA and Security+ Certifications exams, minimum requirements for networking and network security related positions.
Prerequisite: Previous study of the A+ and Network+ course is necessary to understand the material of this course.

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer & Trade Certification Prep (MCSE Core)
This course is designed for individuals interested in becoming MCSE™ Certified. Upon completion, students will have the ability to analyze business requirements for information systems solutions and validate their expertise in designing and implementing infrastructures based on Windows Server based networks. Implementation responsibilities include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems.

Benefits: By the end of this course, students should be able to pass the four core MCSE exams necessary for MCSE Certification. After completing this course, students can independently pursue study in the remaining electives needed for full completion of the MCSE Certification.
Prerequisite: An MCSE candidate should have one to two years of experience in designing, installing, configuring and troubleshooting network systems.

Introduction to Web Design and Development
Learn to develop, modify, optimize and maintain websites and related graphics for a corporation or small business. By the end of this course, students will know how to build, troubleshoot and maintain websites designed with HTML, CSS and Dreamweaver, as well as manipulate graphics and pictures using Adobe Photoshop for the purpose of web design.

Benefits: This course provides the necessary training for an entry-level position in web design.

Introduction to Advanced Web Development (ASP.NET)
Learn how to plan, design, program and maintain advanced website technologies and understand how web servers and web-based database systems function, using the latest technologies, including IIS Server, ASP.NET, Linux.

Benefits: Students will gain the necessary foundation to understand how web servers function, create web forms using web controls, display and modify data from a database by using ADO.NET with ASP.NET web controls, better understand server side technologies and design and configure numerous aspects of an ASP.NET application.
Prerequisite: Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, HTML and CSS is necessary. Completion of Introduction to Web Design, preferred.
