Description

Michael Casias is an Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacist at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and an Assistant Professor at Long Island University Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy. He received is Pharm.D. from the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. In addition, Michael completed his PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Lancaster General Health in Lancaster, PA, and his PGY-2 in Pharmacotherapy at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ.

His interests include Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases (particularly multidrug-resistant infections, HIV, and Hepatitis C). He aims to be an effective communicator and leader while instilling his passion for pharmacy in his students, residents, and colleagues.
