Palmer School of Library and Information Science

The Palmer School of Library and Information Science, founded in 1959, is nationally recognized for its American Library Association-accredited Master's Degree in Library and Information Science (a distinction shared by fewer than 60 schools in the country.)

The M.S. degree in Library and Information Science offers specializations in such areas as school media specialist, archives and records management and public librarianship.

People who hold Master’s degrees in Library and Information Science are uniquely suited to help individuals and organizations find and use the information they need.

In addition, information professionals now take jobs in such areas as marketing, strategic planning, Web site development, and information architecture in addition to traditional library settings.
