Brentwood Campus of Long Island University Offers Scholarship for Alumni
To help students further their college education and increase their earning potential, the Brentwood Campus of Long Island University is offering all of its alumni a one-third tuition discount on its master’s degree programs.
The Alumni Scholarship will be awarded to anyone holding a Brentwood Campus of Long Island University degree or Advanced Certificate. Candidates must apply and be accepted to the Brentwood Campus. This award is only applicable to courses taken at the Brentwood Campus of Long Island University and there is no limit on the number of courses that can be taken at the one-third discount.
“Based on Long Island University’s commitment to access and excellence, this scholarship helps graduates garner even more learning experiences and opportunities,” said Marlyne Hynds, Associate Provost of the Brentwood Campus.
The Brentwood Campus is one of six campuses of Long Island University, which educates 27,000 students in Brooklyn, Brookville (C.W. Post Campus), Riverhead, Rockland and Westchester. Known for its small classes and quiet country setting, the Brentwood Campus has been offering undergraduate and graduate programs to residents of Suffolk County since 1959. Nearly 1,100 students take classes at the Campus located on Second Avenue in Brentwood, on 172 acres of tree-lined property owned by the Sisters of St. Joseph.
To meet the needs of working professionals, the Campus schedules most of its classes on late afternoons, evenings and weekends. Graduate programs include Criminal Justice (M.S.) and Education (M.S./M.S.Ed.) in the areas of School Counseling, Early Childhood, Childhood, Childhood/Special Education, Childhood/Literacy, Mental Health Counseling, Special Education and Literacy. Master’s level courses are also offered in Business Administration (M.B.A.) and Library and Information Science. The Brentwood Campus also offers a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice.
