Electronic Journal Search (Serials Solutions)
- Lets you find out which of the databases that the library subscribes to
will contain the full text of the periodical you are looking for. The links will then take you to that
database. Some will be available remotely, and some will be available only on campus.

Long Island Library Catalog (FirstSearch)
- Subset of OCLC's WorldCat database that is limited to materials in
Long Island Libraries.

WorldCat : The OCLC Online Union
Catalog (FirstSearch)
- Lists the holdings of all OCLC member libraries
worldwide. Includes: books, manuscripts, computer
data files, maps, computer programs, musical scores,
films and slides, newspapers, journals, sound recordings,
magazines, videotapes. (Note: WorldCat has absorbed the OCLC Union List of Periodicals).

WorldCat Dissertations and Theses (FirstSearch)
- This subset of OCLC WorldCat provides citations to over 5 million dissertations and
theses, as well as published material based on theses, that have
been cataloged by OCLC member libraries around the world.
- Ulrich's
Periodicals Directory (Cambridge Scientific Abstracts)
- Provides detailed, comprehensive, and authoritative information on
serials, consumer and trade magazines, academic and scholarly journals, monographic series,
newsletters, newspapers, electronic publications, 'zines, and many other periodicals
around the world. It covers all subjects of regular and irregular publications that are circulated free
of charge or by paid subscription. Includes
publication information, whether the periodical is referreed, where it is indexed,
online availability or website, and more

NOVEL (New York Online Virtual
Electronic Library) is a statewide virtual library provided free to
the public by the New York State Library.
It is currently a pilot project funded through a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA)
grant to the NY State Library by the Federal Institute of
Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
