High-Tech Model Classroom Showcases 21st Century Teaching Tools

The Theresa Morahan Simmons Model Classroom of the 21st Century at the Rockland Graduate Campus of Long Island University was formally opened Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006. From left: State Sen. Thomas P. Morahan; Rockland Graduate Campus Associate Provost Nancy Low Hogan; Dr. Nancy T. Goldman, director of Curriculum and Instruction, and Professor Elaine Geller, director of Special Education and Literacy cut the ribbon. Named after Sen. Morahan’s late daughter, the model classroom is a training facility for Rockland Graduate Campus students and for teachers in lower Hudson Valley and northern New Jersey school districts.
