The growth of our aging population has created a need for professionals who can guide individuals, families, communities, and institutions in dealing with the special needs of the elderly. With formal courses and case studies, the Rockland Graduate Campus Health Administration Program offers instruction on an advanced level. The Gerontology Certificate requires successful completion of five (5) courses.
Each candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and an acceptable record in undergraduate and other studies reflected on official transcripts. Candidate must also meet admissions criteria for the M.P.A. degree program. A matriculated M.P.A. student, who pursues this certificate, may transfer up to three courses from his or her M.P.A. curriculum but must take two additional elective courses to be eligible for both the MPA degree and Certificate.
