I recently joined the SON after working in clinical practice in the Children’s Hospital at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn for the past 4 years. Prior to my work at Maimonides, I was a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Cohen Children’s Medical Center of NY, in the Northwell Health System working in various roles, as Regional Perinatal Network Manager, NICU Research Database Manager, Nurse Educator and preceptor.  I am a pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist with a focus on maternal child health nursing and community health. I have taught at all undergraduate levels - Introduction to Professional Nursing Practice, Transition to Professional Nursing Practice/Capstone, Maternal-Child Health/Pediatrics, Community Health Nursing, Leadership, Nutrition for Nursing, & Evidence-Based Practice/ Research. My scholarship and research has focused on the development of evidence based practice initiatives in the clinical setting and study of families of hospitalized children, particularly in the NICU setting.
