Description

Dr. Joanne Heith, Psy.D Psychoanalysis, L.S.C.W., M.A. Fitness, is a psychoanalyst with a private practice in Brooklyn for the past 17 years. She treats individuals, couples and groups for long and short-term psychotherapy. She is also the founder of “Your Mind is a Muscle,” a counseling service for individuals seeking assistance with issues involving health and wellness. Dr. Heith runs groups, develops workshops, and lectures about the mind-body connection and psychological factors that determine success or failure in fitness goals.

Dr. Heith is an adjunct professor of psychology at LIU Brooklyn in addition to private practice and fitness consultation services.

Specialties

Private practice: Anxiety, mood, personality and psychotic disorders, major life changes, health and wellness.

Teach courses in Personality and Developmental Theory, Abnormal and Health Psychology.
