Description
Greg Kogan is an assistant professor in the school of business and specializes in accounting and information systems. Prior to joining the faculty ranks at LIU, he gained substantial lecturing experience as an Instructor of Professional practice and Rutgers Business School. Greg has substantial accounting and finance industry experience as a CPA in roles at Ernest & Young and Tiger Management. As a Fund Controller he oversaw the operations of domestic and off-shore long/short equity hedge funds. In Greg’s Senior Associate role he managed audit teams in performance of external financial audits and internal control reviews of Benefit plans, Investment advisors, Hedge funds, Fund of funds, and Private equity entities. During his time as an Analyst, he designed cash flow models to test the accuracy of CDO and CLO securities’ waterfall of payments, and reconciled the results with investment banks or collateral managers in order to adhere to the priority of payments detailed in the deals’ indentures.
