Description
Dr. Osborne is a nurse lecturer and nurse scientist whose research includes measurement of quality of life in racial and ethnic minority youth and parents using mixed methods research approach, and eradication of health disparities in underserved populations. She endeavors to maintain a program of research that will make a significant positive impact on populations that are under-served and under-researched.
She received her Ph.D. in nursing from Columbia University School of Nursing and currently maintains a position as Assistant Professor of Nursing at Long Island University Brooklyn where she is the Lead Faculty of Medical Surgical Nursing I.
Dr. Osborne’s research centers on measurement of quality of life in children with sickle cell disease and measurement of quality of life in persons with chronic diseases. Her current research focuses on opioid use in adults with sickle cell disease during sickle cell crisis.
