Description

Dr. Tina Zerilli joined the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in July 2002 as a drug information specialist at the College’s International Drug Information Center (IDIC). She later was promoted to a faculty position in 2007 with her primary practice being the IDIC.

Over the past several years, Dr. Zerilli has been heavily involved in developing and implementing the College’s plan for curricular assessment. She has served on the College’s Curricular Assessment Committee in various capacities, including serving as co-chair since 2007. Dr. Zerilli is a member of Rho Chi, the academic honor society in pharmacy and is a licensed pharmacist in the state of New York. She has served as a consultant to a long-term care facility in addition to working in a community pharmacy setting. Dr. Zerilli also serves as a reviewer for various professional publications and has contributed to the scientific literature in various capacities. Her research interests revolve around the use of drug information resources by both health care professionals and the lay public. Past research has focused on the use of such resources by pharmacists practicing in the community setting and in drug information centers, and on consumers’ use and perceptions of patient medication information leaflets. While her research has focused primarily on the field of drug information, she also strives to contribute to the scientific literature as it pertains globally to clinical pharmacy practice and to the educational literature as it pertains to assessment practices.
