Description

Marc J. Diener, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at Long Island University—Post.  He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University, completed a pre-doctoral internship at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center, University Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and a postdoctoral fellowship at The Addiction Institute of NY (formerly Smithers Alcoholism Treatment and Training Center), St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center, University Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.  His research focuses on attachment, meta-analysis, self-report and performance-based assessment measures, psychodynamic therapy, supervision, supportive-expressive therapy, psychotherapy process and outcome, and psychotherapy dropout.
