Bonnie Millen, PTA, MA, RYT, is a NYS Registered Physical Therapist Assistant, has worked in a broad spectrum of clinical settings, and has an extensive background in therapeutic movement, posture re-education, spinal stabilization, exercise, and relaxation training. While earning her Masters Degree in Dance Education from New York University Bonnie became interested in therapeutic movement and manual therapies. This lead to formal studies in Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement, Alexander Technique, Body-Mind Centering and an Oriental bodywork therapy, Ohashiatsu, graduating from the Certified Program at the Ohashi Institute in 1987.
Bonnie began studying the ancient practice of yoga in 1982 and has been teaching yoga since 1991. She earned her Registered Yoga Teacher status through Yoga Alliance. She continues advanced yoga teacher training through the Embodied Anatomy and Yoga Program at The School for Body-Mind Centering in Amherst, Massachusetts.
She is actively involved in fitness and is an Aerobic and Fitness Association of America Certified Personal Trainer. Bonnie is a guest lecturer at New York Institute of Technology's Physical Therapy Program, Nassau Community College's Physical Therapist Assistant Program. She is also a senior member of the American Oriental Bodywork Therapy Association.
