Christine Persichette is a morning anchor for FiOS 1 News. Previously, she hosted a show on FiOS 1 called “Heroes on Our Island” which focused on people giving back to their communities. Before joining the FiOS team, Persichette spent 10 years as a general assignment reporter for Fox 5 and My 9 News. She has also worked for News 12, the Fox affiliate in Rochester, NY and the ABC affiliate in Elmira, NY. Persichette received her Bachelor’s degree from the University at Albany and her Master’s degree from New York Institute of Technology. She will be teaching a course on news writing for electronic media.
