Carl Strommen teaches graduate Orchestration and Composition at LIU Post. Mr. Strommen has over 700 published titles (60 of which are commissions) covering a wide variety of performance and media settings.He enjoys an international reputation and is recognized by ASCAP as a recipient of the Standard Writers Award. His publishers include Warner Bros.Carl Fischer, Alfred, Kendor and Smartcharts. His media spots are with Firstcom.
Book collections include the “By Special Arrangement Series” (Warner Bros) a series of three books - Gershwin, Broadway and the Cinema in a “music minus one “jazz setting. Collections from Kendor Music include “30 Melodious Duets,”Classics for the Flute Quartet” and Easy Flex Duets. Mr. Strommen acted as editor for “The Master Repetoire” Series - and the “Debut Series” - both settings for solos on all instruments with piano at various levels of difficulty. He tips his hat to his mentors - Rayburn Wright, Manny Albam Stefan Wolpe and Sandy Feldstein.
