Human Performance Laboratory

The Human Performance Laboratory is a state-of-the-art learning and research facility run by the Department of Health, Physical Education and Movement Science at LIU Post.

The laboratory is an integral part of the Bachelor of Science degree programs in Physical Education and Health Education as it facilitates the fusion of theory into practice, thereby reinforcing concepts that are presented and discussed in class.

Students in exercise physiology classes are provided with hands-on-experience in assessing the performance capabilities of children, students and athletes. In the biomechanics class, students learn to assess proper gait and posture and explore concepts of core dynamics and stability. Faculty members also have the opportunity to conduct their individual research projects. For more information contact the Department of Health, Physical Education and Movement Science.
